Needle in a Haystack Demo

Your job is simple: find the needle in the haystack.

You start with your hands and a lot of hay to get through. Sell what you collect, buy some better equipment, and keep searching. There are things buried in there besides the needle, so keep an eye out.

Get some friends to help

Play alone or with up to 5 friends. Work on the same pile, share tools, and decide how to spend your money. Whether everyone actually helps is another question.

Work toward better equipment

Your hands will get you started, but you’ll probably want a shovel, pitchfork, or vacuum pretty soon. Upgrade your tools to collect more hay and gradually work your way into the pile.

Build a little hay factory

Buy conveyor belts, robot arms, drones, and processing machines. Connect everything, feed hay into your generator, and get your setup running. There’s plenty of room to experiment with how it all fits together.

Don’t forget the quota

In Campaign, the gnome expects payment. You’ll need to balance buying new equipment with keeping enough money for the next quota. Wildlife and bad weather can make the job a little more complicated, too.

Found the needle? Keep playing

After finishing the campaign, you can carry on in Free Play. Build more, collect more needles, and improve your setup at your own pace. Save your world and come back whenever you like.
